This 161-acre wooded mountaintop which includes a popular loop trail and spectacular views of Mount Tam and San Francisco Bay was purchased with the generous support of the Shelby Cullom Davis Charitable Fund. The property connects several adjacent open space preserves and permanently secures the scenic and habitat values of King Mountain.
Through the generous support of the San Anselmo Open Space Committee, the Town of Fairfax, the Tamalpais Conservation Club and 60 generous donors, sufficient funds have been raised to secure the purchase of the Sky Ranch Knoll. MOST plans to donate this prominent 6.8-acre property to the Marin County Open Space District to be added to the Sky Ranch part of the Bald Hill Open Space Preserve.
Marin Open Space Trust preserves open space by purchasing and receiving donations of land and conservation easements. We work collaboratively with parks agencies and other local land conservation organizations. Please contact us about any potential open space projects.
