After many years of effort, Marin Open Space Trust (MOST) successfully secured a conservation easement on a prominent five-acre undeveloped property that straddles Ross and San Anselmo on Bald Hill. This historic parcel was created in the 19th century to protect an area around a natural spring that was tapped to provide water for the San Francisco Theological Seminary.
The Bald Hill property lies between the large property which includes the top of Bald Hill and a residential neighborhood on the south side of San Anselmo. The easement will permanently prevent exploitation or development of the property. It was generously donated to MOST by Seminary Holdings, LP which is run by two brothers who grew up in Marin and who develop and manage senior housing communities in the Bay Area.
