Sherrill Miller has returned again and again to Mt. Tamalpais as her subject. Capturing it in from various vantage points and times of day, each resulting artwork is a unique study of color-play and light.
After seeing an Edgar Payne painting of the Grand Canyon, Sherrill Miller developed a passion for painting the landscape. Using oils, she enjoys painting both en plein air and in her studio. She grew up in Pasadena and spent summers in Laguna Beach where she enjoyed the many art galleries and the annual Festival of Arts. She now lives in Marin County with its diverse and paintable landscapes. Sherrill is the co-founder of BayWood Artists, formed in 1997.
